Inti Alva is the Managing Partner of BGAL ASOCIADOS. He has over 25 years of expertise in intellectual property matters. His practice focuses on trademark, patent, copyright, and unfair competition litigation. He has represented Mexican and multinational companies such as Bayer Mexico, AlixPartners, Textron Aviation, Prada, Robert Bosch, Buckman Laboratories, Industrias AlEn, ALO Yoga, Neocell, Lincoln Electric, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, Moshi-Moshi, Sistema Radiopolis, and Grupo Expansion, among others.
Inti has significant experience counseling and addressing complex IP transactions, including settlement agreements, coexistence agreements, M&A agreements, acquisitions of IP assets, sponsorship agreements, licenses, and franchise deals. He also provides legal advice on data protection matters and litigates domain name disputes (UDRP).
2004 Inti was part of the Drafting Committee that amended the Mexican Industrial Property Law to incorporate declarations of fame or notoriety for famous and well-known marks within Mexican IP Law.
