Oscar is a senior associate at BGAL Asociados with over five years of experience in Intellectual Property, specializing in litigation and contentious proceedings.
His practice includes advising clients on nullity, non-use cancellation, opposition, and infringement cases before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), as well as handling Administrative Litigation and Amparo proceedings in IP matters.
Oscar has a strong background in trademark registration, administration, and protection in Mexico and internationally. He also provides legal opinions on advertising law and conducts Freedom to Operate (FTO) studies in IP.
Additionally, he has extensive experience managing and protecting copyrights in litigation and has participated in IP asset audits for M&A transactions and financing projects.
He has successfully represented prominent Mexican and multinational companies, including BAYER MEXICO, AIRBNB, INC., PRADA, TEXTRON AVIATION, PROCAPS, ROBERT BOSCH, BUCKMAN LABORATORIES, INDUSTRIAS ALEN, ALO, LLC, Y-TEX, LINCOLN ELECTRIC, POPEYES LOUISIANA KITCHEN, MOSHI-MOSHI, and SISTEMA RADIÓPOLIS, among others.
