Miguel Angel Díaz has more than five years of experience in Intellectual Property matters. Since the beginning of his practice, he has been involved in various areas of the matter, from registration procedures and protection of intangible IP rights, as well as their conservation and defense before the corresponding authorities.
Currently, Miguel Angel focuses his practice on advising and developing strategies for the protection of IP rights, monitoring trademark registration procedures, and responding to formal and substantive office actions issued by the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI).
Miguel Angel also has experience in trademark opposition, nullity and non-use cancellation proceedings, infringement actions, inspection visits, and seizing merchandise, as well as in administrative litigation and amparo proceedings in IP matters.
Likewise, he performed compliance reviews and provided opinions on promotions and advertising of several companies, to ensure that they comply with the applicable IP, health, and consumer protection regulations.
